Gracias ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Stewardship: This is the time of year when you will be asked to think about your contribution to God’s mission at Good Shepherd. Today we will distribute a letter from the Vestry. We plan to mail it to people who aren’t here. We could use some help identifying persons who should receive the mailing. Pledge cards will be available every Sunday and the in-gathering will be on December 2nd. Mayordomía: Este es el tiempo cuando les pedimos que piensen sobre su ofrenda a la iglesia. Bushnell met with Lorena, Rebecca, and Jack to discuss the Christmas Eve service. This year it will start at 5:00 and will include lots of familiar carols that will be sung in both English and Spanish. Instead of a sermon and readings, there will be a simple pageant. Lots of us will be able to take part, but there will be very few speaking parts. If you are interested in helping, please talk with one of us. We hope to provide gifts of bi-lingual bible story books for children who attend. Nochebuena: En Lugar de misa, este año tendremos una representación de Navidad. All Vestry members and members of the Transition Team are required to be present and on time. With our help, the Boot Party met the needs of over 500 people in the Greater Hartford area. The invitation for churches to engage in this outreach program in donating and/or volunteering is another opportunity to work together in a meaningful way making a difference. There are three ways to help with items. Make a complete care package, donate a specific item or items to assemble care packages, or donate money for needed items to be purchased.
